WEIGHTLOSS WAS JUST A SIDE EFFECT

WEIGHTLOSS WAS JUST A SIDE EFFECT:

PCOS AWARENESS GRATITUDE POST

Here is the truth, The journey of healing from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome [PCOS] is a powerful reminder that God can use anything for his glory, especially for those of us who walk in faith followers of Jesus. It’s essential to recognize that we are part of a battle—a spiritual war where awareness and knowledge empower us to take action.

I’ve learned that true healing comes from surrendering to the process, allowing it to transform not just my body, but my spirit. For years, I focused solely on weight loss, chasing quick fixes that didn’t last. Now, I’ve chosen to embrace the journey itself, savoring every step along the way.

Here’s what my ongoing transformation looks like:

📝 A Honest Self-Assessment: I’ve taken the time to truly understand where I am and own my story. I acknowledge the struggles I faced and the role they played in my life, knowing that I can rise above them.

✝️ Faith and Prayer: My daily prayers are my anchor, continuously guiding me toward healing and hope.

🥗 Lifestyle Changes on my terms: I’m making healthier choices willingly in my diet, seeking receipies I truly love as a foodie without compromising my goal and finding joy in exercise that uplifts me rather than it feeling like a chore.

🧠 Mindset Renewal: I’m committed to transforming my thought patterns by renewing my mind with the Word of God—this is a journey, and I’m embracing the progress.

👥 Embracing Vulnerability: No man is a n island. I’ve opened my heart and space to trusted friends, spiritual guides and family, learning the strength in vulnerability. Allowing God to redefine my circle this has brought incredible people into my life, like Pastor Akeim Brown, whose messages inspire and keep me grounded. 😂 Choosing Joy: I’ve decided to live in “Joy City,” actively identifying and cutting out stressors that no longer serve me. It takes courage, but it's a beautiful path to freedom!Let’s remember: weight loss may be a side effect, but the real victory lies in embracing our journeys with faith, love, and gratitude as we heal and grow. 💖✨

It was only when I began to embrace the journey and release the pressure of lost time and the fear of setbacks that I truly started to transform. I am incredibly grateful for every lesson this journey has taught me.

We often find ourselves preoccupied with the number on the scale, but the truth is, weight loss will naturally follow when we focus on living well. I’m still a work in progress, but I firmly believe the best is yet to come by God’s grace. If I can do this, so can you! Let’s uplift each other and celebrate our journeys together!
